Win A Place At The Front Of The Queue!
Making Money
Foyles Southbank London
Saturday 14th June

Win the chance to be first at the front of the queue at this 25th Discworld Anniversary signing! The signing takes place at Foyles on the Southbank in London at 12noon Saturday 14th June. One lucky winner will walk straight to the front of the queue to have his or her book signed before all the others.

Click HERE to enter your details and be in with a chance of winning!

The raffle will be open until midnight on Thursday 12th June and the winner will be notified by telephone - not email - on Friday 13th June, therefore please make sure you enter a valid number.

This raffle is entirely for a place at the head of the queue without having to queue.  It does not entitle you to overnight accommodation, wheels, travel or a great big kiss.  Just a place at the front of the queue and that’s it.

Terry Pratchett

PS The great big kiss might, in some circumstances, be negotiable...

If you are going to the signing, please note:

We are anticipating a large number of people attending the signing, so Terry will sign a maximum of 4 books per person and there will be no dedications, unfortunately. On the other hand - all fans will get their books signed this way.

If you can't make it to the signing, click HERE to order signed copies of Making Money.

Terry to Join The Eclipse Chasers

Eclipse of the Century

We will be joining Terry Pratchett to view the total eclipse of the sun next year.

The eclipse will be the longest for a century, and Terry is heading to Taiwan along with the BBC Sky at Night team, which is the broadcasting the event live.

The trip aboard a cruise ship has been organised by a travel company, Eclipse of the Century, and will commence in Taipei on July 17, 2009 for nine days - including the Eclipse Day, July 22. Places are still available on the sailing.

At the point of greatest eclipse the totality will last for a massive 6.39 minutes – something that won’t happen again until June 13, 2132!

Terry's trip will take place aboard the Superstar Libra ship and will include lectures from experts from ‘The Sky at Night’ programme such as BBC presenter Dr Chris Lintott. Prices start from just £1,395UKP per person.

The ship will cruise to what is regarded as the optimum position at sea, approximately 12 nautical miles off the coast of the Japanese island of Yakushima. Nine days in total, including five nights at sea, the tour will include a port call to the Japanese island of Okinawa as well as Taipei.

Dr. Lintott comments, “During a total solar eclipse every single second counts. If you sit at your computer and do nothing for a minute it may seem like quite a long time, but with so much to see under totality’s spell, minutes seem like seconds.

"A total eclipse is an emotional event; falling under the Moon’s shadow is an experience unlike any other, and I’m looking forward to having time to wallow a little next July.”

For more details, please contact Eclipse of the Century on +44 20 7766 5237.
