Launch of The Baron’s
Charter Trail

June 12th was the launch day for the Barons Trail in Salisbury. 25 individually decorated medieval Barons appeared overnight in a playful celebration of history through art upon the streets to celebrate the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta. One of the four surviving manuscripts, dating from 1215, is housed in Salisbury Cathedral. The Barons will be auctioned in October to raise money for The Trussell Trust, the UK’s leading hunger charity.

My Discworld Baron is sited on the Choristers Green inside the Cathedral Close with a fine view of the building. It has seemed a fitting way to reflect and pay tribute to Terry and his writing, especially as he was himself knighted in 2009 and lived locally to Salisbury.
